Origin Story — Why Vinesauce and Choicer Voicer Are Tied Together
On 2023-12-10, Vinesauce streamer Vinny said during a stream that he wished someone would make a new game like The Choicest Voice (the voice-dubbing minigame from Mario Party: Island Tour). DeveloperYeahMaybe (credited as Pierce) heard it, dropped the project he was working on, and built this one instead (official TCV Hub About page, captured 2026-08-11).
The game launched on itch.io in Early Access around late June 2024 and has received free updates through the checked 0.5.1 release dated 2026-04-17, with a0.5.2-dev2 microphone test build also listed. This is also why r/Vinesauce is the main community hub and why Vinny/Joel streams dominate the official featured clips.
