The Choicer Voicer Packs

Everything about The Choicer Voicer packs: what a 'pack' is, the 8 official content pack types (voice, dub, contestant, menu, studio, judge, host, chatter), where to get packs, and how to install them.

What Are The Choicer Voicer Packs?

In The Choicer Voicer (TCV), a pack is a folder of custom content. The directory depends on the type: Voice and Dub packs use packs_voice; the official content guide documents separate paths for Contestant, Studio, Judge and Chatter packs, while Menu and Host paths are not stated on the current public index. The official itch.io page's "Current features" list names custom content for Voice packs, Menu, Judges, Studio, Host and Contestant, and since version 0.5.0 Dub Packs joined the list — eight content pack types in total.

TCV has no traditional mod system — no modding API, no Steam Workshop. The official TCV Hub "About" page explains that developer YeahMaybe decided early on that the game should be expandable in the future and researched loading custom files at runtime — that research became the content pack system. In other words, content packs are TCV's native way to mod.
