What Is a Voice Pack (Sound Pack) in The Choicer Voicer?
A voice pack — often searched as sound pack — is the official definition of a collection of audio samples — the first and most basic of the eight content pack types on TCV Hub's Custom Content list. The official itch.io page's "Current features" list names custom content for Voice packs, Menu, Judges, Studio, Host and Contestant — with voice packs listed first.
How it plays: the game plays an audio clip and you imitate it with your voice. A voice pack is the source of those "clips to imitate" — installing a pack gives you a new set of characters, lines or memes to perform.
Official rules (from the TCV Hub voice packs guide, captured 2026-08-11):
- Packs live in the
packs_voicefolder inside the game files (the main menu opens it directly); - Audio formats are only WAV / MP3 / OGG, each clip under 60 seconds;
- Louder is better — official quote: "Loud is better than quiet";
- Since 0.5.0, the built-in metadata editor (main menu → Extras → "Edit Voice Packs & Clip Metadata") lets you give samples images, subtitles, tags, a pack icon, a searchable author name and a description.

Important: TCV has no official voice pack store or central download site — almost all voice packs are community-made and shared through itch.io community posts and streamer circles. When downloading any pack, check that it is a folder (containing WAV/MP3/OGG files), then drop it intopacks_voice.
