What Each Version Added
- 0.5.0 (2026-03-09, major) — introduced Dub Mode (dub your own voice onto video clips) and the Voice Pack metadata editor (Main Menu → "Extras" → "Edit Voice Packs & Clip Metadata" — add images, subtitles, tags, author name, and descriptions to samples). 0.5.0 also started the Dub Packs system.
- 0.4.14.1 (2024-11-29) — hotfix released right after 0.4.14.
- 0.5.2-dev2 (~2026-08, test build) — official mic test build (124 MB / 127 MB) listed to verify the microphone recording bug fix. The developer pinned a community post asking players with mic issues to test this build (itch.io thread).
- Known long-term situation: the game is still an Early Access Alpha — official quote: "The foundational code is two years old and makes it difficult to implement some features."

Choicer Voicer Future Updates — What the Developer Said
The developer has not published a formal roadmap, but the devlog post "Answering Recent Questions" (around 2026-08-04) revealed the following directions:
| Topic | Official position |
|---|
| Steam version | The developer wants it, but it is "nowhere on the horizon" — optimistically at least 6 months away. The underlying code would need a rewrite to support the Godot Steam kit. |
| Online multiplayer | Short-term plans only cover "making it easier to stream sessions to friends". Official statement: "Online multiplayer does not exist at this time." |
| Mic bug fix | Being validated through the 0.5.2-dev2 test build. Players are asked to test it and report, and to pressure the Godot Foundation. See /guide/troubleshooting/. |
